Our Apartment in Paris
The view from our living room
We never tire of the view of the Seine.
Any time of the day or night there is something happening. One day I looked out and the sun was literally sparkling on the water.

The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is constantly changing. It’s not just the spectacular fireworks on July 14. Special events cause a change of colour, additional lights and so on. For months leading up to the Paris Olympics it was counting down the days as it displayed the Olympic rings.
Here are a few shots we took from the living room-

Living/Dining Room
The entry opens onto a 50 square metre living/dining room with the windows directly overlooking the Seine.

Kitchen
We replaced the original kitchen with a custom made designer version with European appliances. We designed it so that from the entry it is black and from the living room it is white. We had the dishwasher and washing machine built in.

The Entry
This was a large space, making it ideal for bookshelves. We also built in a custom made coat cupboard.
My Office
I set up my desk next to the kitchen. The kitchen designer fitted it so that next to the desk I have a cupboard for my office supplies. Next to that are two large cupboards for wine glasses, drinks etc.
Second Bedroom and Bathroom
The people we bought the apartment from had redesigned it, making a bigger area for the second bedroom and adding a separate private bathroom. They also put in a built-in wardrobe.

Toilet
At the same time they fitted out a roomy modern toilet which is well fitted out.
The utilities cupboard opposite now houses our clothes dryer as well and the cleaner’s gear.
Master Bedroom
This was originally two bedrooms which have been combined to form a super spacious master bedroom and ensuite over 32 square metres. We had it fitted with custom made furniture giving us lots of storage space. One of my friends from Versailles did the silk curtains for us which can completely block out the light during the early summer mornings.
There is an open dressing area with built in wardrobes providing enough room for LOTS of clothes and shoes etc. The bathroom has two basins, a giant bathtub and a walk in shower.
